Anthony Jackson Contrabass from Fodera, the top of the line boutique bass guitar.

Fodera" was founded in 1983 by Vinny Fodera and Joey Lauricella in Brooklyn, New York.
Vinny Fodera was one of Stewart Spector's earliest disciples and played bass with Ken Smith from the end of the 70's to the beginning of the 80's.
Victor Wooten / Anthony Jackson / Felix Pastorius and many other historic bassists have used the "Fodera".
All Fodera basses are essentially customizable, and we continue to offer what you want with the highest quality.

In fact, the 6-string bass was introduced before the modern 5-string bass was introduced.
In 1975, Anthony Jackson ordered a 6-string bass from Carl Thompson.
However, the first 6-string basses were almost exclusively built with 4-string necks, and the narrow space between the strings prevented them from becoming the main machine.
Later, he teamed up with Ken Smith and Contrabass Guitar was born in 1981.

As mentioned above, no two Contrabass Guitars are exactly alike.
The 55mm nut width 3-ply maple neck is bolted on and heel-less cut for the same feel as a through neck.
The sound of the Guitar is a bit of a stretch, but if I had to describe it in one word, I would say that it has a beautiful sound of the highest quality.
The neck is rigid, and even when playing low B, the neck does not vibrate and the sound disappears like a piano from attack to release due to the clean string vibration.
The secret is unknown, but the pitch is good on all strings and all frets, and even when playing chords like Anthony does, the pitch fluctuates little, giving you the feeling that you are playing a high quality acoustic guitar.

The neck and electrical system have been checked by our repairman and are in perfect condition.
The neck is straight and the string height is set at 1.7mm on the 6th string side and 1.2mm on the 1st string side on the 12F with a low action setting.
Naturally the 6-string is difficult to play, but you will want to touch it forever.
It is such a wonderful instrument.
