🔽Now is the time to take a deeper look at the "ideal acoustic" that Ovation pursued!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ovation / 1991 1687-7 Super Adamas
The appeal of an acoustic guitar lies in the warmth of the wood and its resonance.
But that beauty is also a limitation.
The neck goes haywire with humidity, the sound is affected by the weather, and feedback is unavoidable during live performances.
Many of you may have felt that there are too many conditions to meet before you can unleash your sound on stage.
Ovation broke away from this tradition of inconvenience.
The Super Adamas is a guitar that has been redesigned from the perspective of acoustic engineering, using aeronautical technology.
Founder Charles Kaman applied the technology he had developed for making aircraft rotors directly to musical instruments.
The result was a structure that did not simply imitate the sound of wood, but instead "delivered sound more accurately and powerfully."
The top is not made of spruce, but of a sandwich structure of carbon graphite and birch, just 1.27mm thick.
Despite being one-third the thickness of a typical wooden top, it boasts incredible rigidity and vibration resistance.

The sides and back are made of highly durable and reflective Lyra cord.
Furthermore, instead of having a large sound hole in the center of the body, the "multi-hole" design distributes multiple small holes around the top, eliminating unnecessary resonance and improving the directionality of the sound.

The Deep Bowl's rich low frequencies have a depth that seems to vibrate the space itself, and the OP-24 preamp allows you to create precise sounds that suit the venue and environment.

Rather than resting on tradition, the Super Adamas carefully selects materials and design with the sole goal of achieving ``good sound,'' resulting in stability and expressiveness that was previously unattainable in conventional guitars.
