Fender / 1975 Telecaster Bass
This model was released in 1968 as a reissue of the original Precision Bass (OPB).
Until 1972, it was equipped with a single pickup that reproduced the specifications of around '54.
After 1972, a humbucker developed by Seth Lover was installed, making it a completely original model.
Fender expected this model to sell well, but demand decreased after the mid-1970s, and production ended in 1980.
Basically, Telecaster Bass was made of ash wood, but some custom colors were made of alder wood, and this bass is also made of alder wood.
The sound is very powerful and impressive, and you may feel that it is different from the Fender sound you have imagined.
The bass has a great low output, so you may think that it is suitable for different genres, but it reproduces faithfully to your picking, so you can draw various tones depending on your playing.
The neck condition has been well maintained by our repairman, and the truss rod is in good condition.
The neck has been well straightened and the string height is about 1.7mm at the top of the 12th fret.
The frets do not seem to be in need of refretting in the near future.
This model is rare even by itself, but it is even rarer when it comes to a black-colored alder body.
Many of you may have been wondering about it!
