Gibson '64 Country Western, famous for Sheryl Crow's use, is now in stock!
The square shoulder, adjustable saddle, 17-degree head angle, Hakaranda fretboard and bridge, and wide neck give this guitar a vintage "inert" sound that is not to be missed!
The Southern Jumbo was released in 1942 as a so-called deluxe version of the J-45 with added decorations. In '54, a natural version was added, and in '56, this natural version was named "Country Western (Jumbo). Around '60, it was temporarily renamed "Southern Jumbo Natural," but was soon reverted to "Country Western" again. After the introduction of the Hummingbird in 1960, both the SJ and CW models changed to a square shoulder shape in 1962, and the pickguard was also changed to the same type as the Hummingbird.
Known as Sheryl Crow's favorite model, the Country Western, like the Southern Jumbo, features mahogany sides and back and double parallelogram position marks. It features the bright sound of an adjustable saddle with a strong attack, further emphasizing Gibson's signature stroked sound.♪
The overall appearance has been over-lacquered, and the major parts such as the pegs, pickguard, bridge, and saddle are original and in very good condition considering its age. The pegs are still shining. String height is 2.2mm on the 6th string and 2.0mm on the 1st string, which are original frets and in good playing condition.
